We are pleased to present “Blade Runner,” (1982, 117 min, Dir. Ridley Scott, 2007 Final Cut) as the first in our Sci-Fi at Union Station series. Following the theme of our recent “Film Noir at Union Station” series, this quintessential neo-noir science fiction classic portrays a dystopian Los Angeles in which “Blade Runners” are assigned to assassinate illegal androids known as replicants. Starring Harrison Ford, Rutger Hauer, Sean Young and Edward James Olmos.
The series highlights Los Angeles, a capital of Science Fiction, renowned for being an inspiration and backdrop for many fundamental works within the genre. Blade Runner features scenes shot in Union Station’s Historic Ticketing Hall.
Introduction by special guest, former Los Angeles Times entertainment reporter Susan King, who specializes in “Classic Hollywood.”
